I heard on the radio that Benzoyl Peroxide is harmful and useless on acne, and that it has been outlawed in Europe and Japan, I believe. Is this true? Should I stop using Proactiv because of it?

I have normal skin, not dry or oily, but I do have some zits on my chin and forehead. Proactiv doesn’t seem to be helping, and I’ve been using it for a couple months, so I want to switch. Which acne medication works the best for normal skin?

I am currently using sulfur acne medication(sulfacet-r)…But i recently got a new prescription for retin-a micro..which i wont be getting untill later this week.. should I still apply my current medication to my problem areas..or should i let my skin rest ..so to speak..untill i receive my new medication.(retin-a micro)????
